On our honeymoon and found this sweet lunch spot! I got the baby spinach salad with Waldorf chicken salad on top and an iced americano with maple flavor… it was incredible!! Great size portion, great service! Highly recommend!

Great spot for a delicious breakfast. Their food was very well seasoned and flavors well paired. I'd recommend the WWC bowl to anyone who's hungry as I was! Great value and flavor! This is a counter order type spot with plenty of places to sit.

I like the abundance of seasonal choices both in sweet treat(cookies, whoopie pies, cream cheese pinwheel cakes) and drinks (cinnamon, maple, pumpkin spice chai). They had a variety of milks to choose from. It’s a cute coffee house vibe. Plenty of tables and chairs. You can have a conversation with a friend and not feel like you’re on top of other people.

Beautiful cafe. Food takes a bit. But that’s ok when you have a great cup of coffee to keep you company

Nice little cafe. Order at the counter. Limited sweets - cookies, PB pie, sad looking Danish. I don't like that breakfast ends at 11 but the atmosphere is really nice and the food was hot and good. Restrooms are clean and accessible.

My mom and dad took my daughter and I out for breakfast for my birthday. I've been looking to try different places instead of going to the same old same old and this place had a quirky name and a varied menu. As you can see from the outdoor shot, the staircase is what is known as a welcome staircase which is a southern architectural design feature meant to welcome travelers coming from anywhere. I had to take a picture of the entryway which features a rabbit who greets you at the door. The industrial design of the interior harkens back to when this was the functioning Waumbec Mill. The old wood has a new life as the beautiful golden oak interior which is warm and homey. My daughter and I both got the California breakfast sandwich, my mom got the Denver omelet and my dad got The Waterworks. The staff is very friendly and even gave us a comedy show while we were waiting for our food. It is a very friendly, welcoming, down to earth, family environment which I would highly recommend. The food was delicious, hot, and filling. My daughter and I ended up taking home half of our sandwiches to enjoy later. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, but be mindful, they are only open for breakfast and lunch. There is also a handicapped entrance on the side as the entry to the actual Cafe is around the back with plenty of parking.

I took my whole family here the day after Christmas, and we were so excited to try somewhere new! My little sister has a bunch of dietary restrictions and the team was SO patient and cognizant of keeping her safe. The coffees, drinks and teas were definitely the highlight, which is to be expected from a coffee shop. The food was good, but definitely not the highlight as much as the drinks and the atmosphere. It’s a wonderful place to hang out and grab a bite, and if you have dietary restrictions they are definitely the ones to visit!

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Yesterday was our first time here, and we were greeted by Kathy at the register. She kindly informed me that they would be closing in 20 minutes, to which I told her I’d happily take the meal to go. I had a baby and a 4-year-old with me, so speed eating wasn’t an option. Despite this, she insisted that I take a table, and that she “had plenty to do anyway” so I could take my time. I was a little disappointed not to see more kid-friendly options on the lunch menu, but I privately planned to take my daughter to Dunkin after leaving there. Meanwhile, little did I know that the kitchen staff were making a giant Mickey Mouse pancake (that I didn’t order) to surprise my kids with! Kathy brought it out like it was no big deal, and I was speechless. My daughter was ecstatic, and I was holding back tears at the kindness of these staff members going so out of their way for us. Once we finished eating and I started cleaning up, Kathy tried to insist that I just leave the mess for her (I didn’t, but still how nice is it that she offered?). In a world where little kids are too often seen as inconvenient and moms are accustomed to either eating just at home or in their cars, I’m so touched by the incredible staff at Waterworks Cafe. The food was excellent, but it was their kindness that really made the biggest impression. Kathy is an absolute gem, and I hope that she knows just how much I appreciate her hospitality!
